This presentation explores how organizations can better understand, include, and empower neurodivergent employees in the workplace. Participants will learn about the concept of neurodiversity, common barriers to employment and advancement, and practical communication and feedback strategies that promote equity and belonging. Through real-world examples and interactive checklists, attendees will identify concrete steps to create neuroinclusive hiring, supervision, and professional development practices.
Emphasis will be placed on recognizing the strengths neurodivergent individuals bring to the workforce and on reframing “struggles” as skill gaps rather than will gaps. The session aims to equip community partners and employers with actionable tools to foster retention, engagement, and mutual understanding across diverse minds.
